Because of the Incas we know the relaxing effects of lapacho. Tea extracted from the reddish brown bark of the lapacho tree is the ideal drink for the end of a stressful day's work.

The Lapacho is a well-sized tree, reaching 8 dm in diameter on the trunk and 30 m in height, of which 10 correspond approximately to the shaft. The glass is semi-globose, with the foliage concentrated at its highest. It's deciduous.

The bark, greyish brown, is hard and difficult to shed; folk medicine uses it for kidney or bladderconditions.
